In this World Premiere one-man clown variety show, Gherkin Picklewater takes audiences on a wild trip to the final performance of humanity’s last-ever dinner show, taking place mid-apocalypse.
Gherkin Picklewater is a dynamic performer and producer based in the South Bay. After moving to San Francisco in 2005 to pursue his passion for clown, Gherkin quickly immersed himself in the vibrant world of circus and live performance. He graduated from the renowned Clown Conservatory at the San Francisco Circus Center and went on to produce and perform in a circus festival, the “Picklewater Free Circus Festival”, that ran successfully for over a decade, attracting talent from around the world.
Gherkin also produced the multi-year run of the Picklewater Clown Cabaret at Stage Werx Theatre, was the artistic director of multiple years of the improvised variety show “Cirque Oui-Et”, hosts several different audio and video podcasts series, and has done numerous stage and cabaret performances.
As an actor, clown, and improviser, Gherkin continues to perform in both comedic and dramatic capacities, bringing his unique blend of energy, humor, and emotional depth to every project. His work is marked by physical comedy, a commitment to emotional vulnerability, and purple suits with matching tennis shoes.
