Learn to sharpen and wield your physical and emotional presence using techniques handed down from masters in the field. Performers and non-performers alike will sharpen not only their technical mime skills but also their ability to infuse performances with imagination and dynamics. Compose imagery with clarity and economy! Discover isolations, rotations, inclinations, stops, impulses, and playwriting techniques.
Experience Level: No prior experience with Mime or Clown is expected from participants.
Space is limited to ensure small class size.
Cost: $750.
Early bird price of $675 before Dec 31.
Bundle mime & clown class for $1,170 before Dec. 31 and $1300 after.
Wednesdays: 7:00-9:00 pm, 2 hours with 15 min. break.
Student Recital: Wednesday, March 20 with a rehearsal on Tuesday, March 19

Eric Wilcox is a performance artist based in San Francisco. As a mime actor, Eric played countless wordless shows in schools and theaters around the world. In San Francisco with the street buffoon gang, SF Buffoons, Eric gleefully insulted thousands and created unique hybrid performances. In Germany he co-produced the MIME>BERLIN festival and summer mime intensive. His themes include; identity, memory, time, desire, and how to deprogram the body. He is keenly aware of the power of theater to dissolve social boundaries and bring people together.
